Me too… I was able to PM a vendor about ordering some gear for my car and all of a sudden it states that I don’t have access to PM anymore! I’ve already verified my account through email… what’s happening?

I recently joined (even though I've lurked on here for years lol) but I got a banner on the top of the page that says you need to have a certain post count and be joined for at least 7 days, pretty typical forum setup to keep out scammers. I had the banner go away yesterday, probably because of post count and being on here long enough at this point

Speaking of private messages. Good thing they update the PMs to allow 500 messages now. Almost every day I had to delete at least 5-10 messages to have room to receive PMs.

Honestly what is the reason for this rule?

I think this a great forum for resources and classifieds.

I have made several purchases from other members on this forum, but now I cannot send PMs and it has lost potential transactions between forum members. I am trying to buy something now from a fellow member and we cannot contact each other to exchange payment info. Please help me understand how this rule is helpful/ productive?

This is the exactly the kind of rules that keep casual enthusiasts like me off forums like these. Like i said, great forum and user base, but these kind of rules arent exactly encouraging to new members. Just my opinion

BTW - from user experience, it would help future new forum members to inform them of this rule, whatever the minimum post count is.
