On losing the 2nd dragon. STUPID. If you have the only air assets in THE WHOLE F'ING WORLD, why don't you do a simple high altitude flyover of the entire area around Dragonstone?!?!! Talk about 2 dimensional thinking and poor battlespace management. Sheesh.

Right on! The Hound/Arya has always been my favorite team on the show, greatly looking forward to seeing how it plays out.

However, I fear greatly for Verys (also one of my favs on the show). I think there was a ton of foreshadowing last season when Danny told him if he betrayed her she'd burn him alive. Verys is a good dude, I think once Danny goes Mad King Verys will turn on her and get blow torched. I hope not, but we shall see!

100% on her strategy. She's absolutely horrible lol, especially after the battle of Winterfell. I get lots of what we see on TV are for dramatic effect, but man she really is a terrible battle commander/leader hah!

I want to believe Verys is 100x smarter than Danny and will slip through any situation. I don't think she can catch him.

And what's the deal with Danny, her advisors, and like 12 unsullied showing up at the back door of Kings Landing? "Surrender now!" What? Bitch, I'm up here in this castle surrounded by 20,000 troops and you're down there with a busted up dragon a quarter mile away, 13 cockless dudes, and a midget. And you want ME to surrender? The whole scene felt totally Monty Python like.

That's been my #1 hope since he was executed last season, there's simply no way (other than bad, lazy writing) that the real Baelish would have allowed himself to be in that situation last season. He 100% knew the game was up when Bran repeated the chaos is a ladder line, and the real Baelish would have got the hell out of dodge.

I want to think he's still in the game and just waiting, but I have to imagine it would be extremely difficult to stop spoilers of his actor being back on the set for instance.

Unfortunately, I think he's just going to be a victim of terrible/lazy writing.

I agree, and to be honest they have not given Dany the best tactical/strategic counsel. Especially Tyrion. She will likely kill them both for plotting behind her back.

It’s been alright but just too rushed. And then with only 6 episodes not much happened in the first two.

A lot left to happen and not much time. Dany is definitely going full mad king, Jon is going to have to kill her himself and will probably stab her through the heart ala Azore Ahai prophecy creating “lightbringer” and fulfilling the red priests predictions.

Varys will sacrifice himself to save Tyrion, instead of pointing the finger to survive as he did to survive with the mad king.

Gendry ends up with Sansa, and Jaimie kills Cersei, Grey worm kills Euron, Hound takes mortal wound killing Mountain monster, and Arya gives him the gift of death.

Ties things up but the way the story went, and the reason the show was great was the intricate and complicated interplay between characters/missions/stories the amount of story left to be told would have taken seasons to unfold but will now be hastily be thrown into 2 episodes.

At least that’s what all the set up looks like to me. All just guesses and the other reason the story is so good is that the unpredictable does happen.
