Seems extremely unlikely this year, particularly since this year’s team doesn’t seem as good as last year’s.

Need to get at least one top tier Power 5 opponent on the schedule and beat them to make it possible in future years.

Besides winning their game, Ohio st needs Bama to win and OU to lose next weekend. If either of those don't happen, Ohio st is missing playoffs again. ND is a lock, don't see Clemson losing.

I don't think OU has to lose. Ohio State has the most impressive win. Now if OU blows out Texas, that's a different story. But in the Big 12, playing defense is optional, so the committee will once again see a basketball game on grass.

Aside from losing themselves, worst case for both Ohio State and OK is for Alabama to lose to GA, particularly in a close game. If that happens I think GA and Bama join Clemson and Notre Dame no matter what Ohio State and OK do. (I don't see Clemson losing to Pitt particularly after watching Miami-Pitt game last week.)

If Alabama, Ohio State and OK all win, how Ohio State and OK look in their last game matters. If they look equally impressive / unimpressive I think Ohio State gets in based on huge win over MI last week. I think it is OK that needs to win big and hope Ohio State loses or looks like crap. Of course, I am frequently wrong...

Interesting. I have not been watching the shows. It’s been a miserable season and tough enough to get through the games.

I’ll be surprised if GA or anyone else beats Bama this year.

Ohio State is one two point conversion away from losing to two unranked teams. They are done if OU beats Texas, revenging their one loss. If Bama loses, OU and Ohio State are screwed.

With that said, it is pointless. Either Bama or Clemson is winning it all this year. OU or Ohio State will get crushed by Bama.

Didn't even look like a well designed play that had a chance of working. Looked like they decided to call a fake punt and wing it. Didn't they try a fake FG against LSU with similar result?

Well, GA defense was definitely gassed so go for it and allow your defense to defend a short field if you don't get it. Bama kicker is having difficulty making extra points so basically keep Bama from scoring TD and roll the dice on a field goal.

Notre Dame is a joke. ND shared 3 opponents between Clemson and Ohio State : Pitt, Northwestern and Michigan and beat those 3 teams by a combined 22 points.

Clemson beat Pitt by 32 points and Ohio State beat Michigan and Northwestern by a combined 44 points.

Last time we saw them they were struggling to finish off a 5 win team. And frankly, they shouldn't be awarded for sitting at home eating Cheetos on Dec 1 while all the conference champions we're out there knocking people out.

It should be Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio State.

If ND wants to be invited to the party, they should play the ACC team (or B1G) with the best record in a conference championship game. Get that piss weak ACC Busch Light schedule out of here!
