What's For Dinner Tonight?

Newb here for this thread. Just decided at the last minute to whip up a pseudo Philly Cheese steak sandwich or something resembling that. Just cut up some sirloin tip steak and sauteed some onions and bell peppers. Threw some seasoning on all of it and then toasted some hoagie rolls with Provolone cheese. It's damn tasty if I do say so myself. Lol.

Now if only I would've gotten my cat into the photo to score a couple extra points!

The whole area looks so new like only 15-20 years old. Theres like a park next to the wash and runs across the whole hood. When i graduate I try hard to make enough to be there.

That's basically because it is new, lol. OC > LA IMHO. Too damn $$ for what you get for your money though. I'm not gonna throw down $700-800k for a place that has about 1,000 SF of space.

Mother's Day Dinner: Chicken Tagine.

Pretty simple and delicious. Pan Fried Chicken Thighs coated in Cumin, Corriander, Paprika, Cinnamon, Salt and Pepper. Then combined with Potatoes, Shallot, Cherry Tomatoes, Dried Apricots and lemon topped for baking. Baked for 1.5 hours until chicken falls off the bone.

Deviled Chicken and Brinjal Mohu (fried pickled eggplant), from the Sri Lankan restaurant about 20 miles away from us. Needless to say, my sinuses are 100% clear tonight from the spices.....

The chowder had a chance to sit since yesterday. Made enough for four 3 cups tubs.

- Clams.
- Calamari.

- Tellicherry black peppercorns.

Do you guys eat dinner at a formal dinner table or on the couch watching TV?

I swore growing up I wouldn't eat in front of the TV b/c I did as kids....but after maybe 1 year with my wife we got one of those raise up tables and sit right on the couch with the dog watching TV. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Dinner table 80% of the time. Usual only sit in front of the TV when we order pizza or are just scrounging and being too lazy to cook.

Making Stir fry tonight, with Filet, Chicken and Few spicy shrimp thrown in. We never ate as a family growing up, divorced parents. We eat dinner 5-6 times a week, kids are 17 and 20...that'll end next year with going off to college.

When I was a kid we ate dinner at a table in the kitchen. When my kids were young we all ate at the table in the dining room. Now I sometimes eat standing over the kitchen counter and the other times I'm in the family room in front of the TV. I don't think either place is ideal, but that's what I do. lol
