Just finished Season 1 of Queen’s Gambit, it was a roller coaster mentally and very gratifying.

Just finished it tonight as well, that final episode was very tense and emotional. If anyone hasn't watched it, start now, it's definitely the best show of the year. Hopefully it will sweep up all the awards.

Don't think I'd seen a trailer for it until this thread... Looks pretty interesting/entertaining. I might check it out tonight or maybe wait until I finish Power

yeah...queen's gambit is a limited series...only 7 episodes...that is based on a novel with no sequel.

we really enjoyed it as well. emotional without being overly dramatic. the acting and dialogue is tremendous. really love the scene beth has with her father and lawyer in episode 6.

That was such a good scene, and Anya Taylor-Joy's acting was fantastic. The scene in episode 7, when she goes to the orphanage was very emotional.

Anyone here been watching The Crown? Its been on my list for years and every season looks really good, I need to just sit down and watch it so I can start binging it.

The Crown is a crazy ride through Elizabeth II reign and whether it's accurate or not, it is entertaining. I cannot wait to see the take on Diana's life and if Charles is suddenly turned into a likable character rather than a victim of his parents choses.

My Wife and I have watched since the beginning, absolutely love it.

Any program with Vanessa Kirby in it is fine by me.

Then young lady who plays Dianna, Elizabeth Debicki, is an Aussie so it will be good to see how she does.

If you like The Crown I can also recommend Victoria which is equally as good.

Yeah I definitely need to just start it so I can get invested. I've watched the trailers forever but never made the time.

Also I believe Elizabeth Debicki will be playing Diana for future season (possibly a time jump for next season) as Emma Corrin plays Diana in season 4.

My mistake, you are correct on the actress.

Actually I think Victoria is probably a little better than The Crown and Jenna Colman is a cutey!

We finished Queen’s Gambit last night. Wife loved it. I started out loving it but by the end got a little fatigued with it, although I still liked it. I think the last 3 episodes could have been condensed into 2 but overall it was very good and well worth watching.
