The Dr's are trying everything, but she said she is done. The first round of Botox went fine, the 2nd round and now this.

So back on 30 days or so of Prednisone.

Over the last few years we have tried almost everything...one resulting in a severe reaction that almost killed her. She had to take early retirement because of them.

I have to be very careful about what I bring home.
Sorry to hear that man. Gym can always wait, gotta put what is important first. Hope she starts feeling a little better.

I remember telling the girlfriend, the last time I went to the gym, that I felt like I was doing something wrong. My shoulders and arms never really got sore no matter how hard I worked them at the gym. After using gymnast rings and parallettes for the past month, that has definitely changed.

I've finally progressed on the parallettes to where I can do a hand stand on them. Now I just have to work on balance so I can hold it. Once I get that down, hopefully by the end of the week, I'll start working my shoulders by doing inverted shoulder presses.
Nice. One of the biggest benefits I’ve felt since doing calisthenics consistently is an increase in appetite with less digestive problems, and more energy throughout the day. Only difficult body part to overload with calisthenics are the legs. Doing a high volume of leg workouts to get them worked isn’t sustainable. Takes too much time.

Tried to get innovative since all gyms are closed. I have pairs of 50lb, 40lb and 25lb dumbbells at home that I always used as a last resort in case I missed a gym session. Turns out a pair of dumbbells and zip ties can be your best friend when wanting to utilize heavier weights than the dumbbells themselves. Few notes:

1- Make sure the tensile strength of the zip ties matches the application you need it for
2 - No matter how tight they are made by adjustment, I found they still are not ideal for dumbbell chest workouts because there’s still some imbalance, and that’s not something I trust with a chest workout. But for dumbbell squat workouts these have worked great for me

Agree 100% with this. I've given up on legs until I can get back in a gym.

Not a single scratch, but damn my hands and forearms hurt.

Come dig fence posts and chip cement at the base of the wall with a 4lb hammer for that last post to fit. As I was losing control, I went to HD and bought an electric hammer drill and a few bits.

Statics of holding the level up the 8' post as it being drilled and screwed into place.

I got an excess of UV radiation, and when they ran my forehead temp I was 99.1, but my internal is still 97.4

Doesn’t matter. Eddie could pull 550kg if he wasn’t dehydrated and actually cared.

I’m more excited about the fight they’re going to have, supposedly.

I see Hafthor has Stan Effording as his diet guy. I like and have used Stan's ideas for awhile.....even before I'd ever heard of the Vertical Diet.

He's a strong guy....no doubt.

I haven't seen any of the newer people in person. Years ago I used to go with my training partner to all the expo's like the Arnold Classic, etc.

Guy who impressed me the most in person was Lee Priest. Freaking Beastly.

Yeah...I remember the pictures...up to over 275lbs on that small frame. My training partner was doing one of the competitions at the Arnold when we went one year.

Now my friend is a big guy, I have posted pics in here of him before. He makes most people look tiny.

But Lee was ungodly looking. He was probably in the 250lb range, pretty lean, and his forearms were bigger than my friend's biceps.

Never seen a guy with that much muscle on his frame. I guess because of his height it looked exaggerated.
