Just received an early birthday pressie from my other half and it's a RBR long sleeved top (genuine RBR) but not in the usual colour with minimal 'stealth' insignias, haven't seen even RB personel wearing this so might post a pic soon when I'm ready.

Horribly boring race, here we go again. Watched the first ten laps in disgust, then fast forwarded to the end. Seriously considering not re-upping my F1TV subscriber package when it comes due next month, I'm really tired of this horribly uncompetitive boring sport. Considering I've been watching since the early 90s and have gone through all the dominant eras, to reach the end of my rope with this sport is saying something. The race conclusion is foregone, the cars sound like shit, there are no rivalries as everybody is buddy buddy now, most of the venues are boring parking lot type circuits, there's just nothing to hold my interest now.

If Max kept that RB pinned he'd lap the whole damned field, including his teammate who is washed and should have been replaced mid season last year. We can't even look forward to inter-team competition any longer for #1. Perez is happy to be Max's whipping boy and nothing is going to change that. Pathetic.

They started dropping some of the qualifying events etc. from ESPN a couple years ago, I also got tired of setting it up to be filmed etc. and F1TV handles all of that. There's also a lot of extra content from past years/decades, and during the races you have the ability to choose to ride along with any driver you want. For example, if you're a big Alonso fan you can just watch him the whole race. They also have a lot of extra interviews, behind the scenes stuff, all practices, etc. It's actually a helluva deal for under $100 a year.

This uncompetitive mess really has me questioning it however. I found myself fast forwarding through a big portion of the races last year, and this year looks to be even worse. Alonso's strong start last year kept me interested, but now AM looks to be #5 and watching him go for 6-10th place every race isn't my idea of fun.

so no change from last season then

it seems like Perez has no trouble passing everybody from starting P7 or something

Carlos had good pace. Shows Ferrari does have a good package. A shame Charles had his brake issue. Without that I believe he could have finished in front of Checo in 2nd.

funny reading all of the F1 internet yesterday was filled with agony and pain, except here where it’s always a RBR party haha.

I don’t care if max wins every race this year, i just want teams that I personally like to put legitimate pressure on him, like McLaren. i really hope we’re not gonna see 40 second gaps on every GP.

Foremost, congrats to Verstappen and RBR. Very well done.

But yeah, a yawn of a race. At about lap 20, I pressed the 30-sec FF button at the beginning of every lap. I don’t mind dynasties, runaway races and championships. F1 has often been like that. But at least throw some on-track drama.
