I definitely think they will move up. They've assembled enough talent that the excuses are now totally gone. Red Bull seems to be in the beginnings of decline like Mercedes, and I don't think Mercedes has righted their ship either. So there is an opportunity.

That said, the 2026 rules are going to scramble things and 1-2 teams are going to nail it and the others are going to be playing catch-up, just like the past 3 years.

I doubt that Adrian Newey would be autistic or affected by Asperger's Syndrome. Just not supposed to give lots of interviews - he's a man in the F1 arena with his mind, pencil, paper and desk as his weapons of choice for communication. Team leaders such as Toto Wolff and Christian Horner and all F1 pilots get (way more) media training.

Though Newey has definitely in common with Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Charles Darwin, Pablo Picasso and Jimi Hendrix (as well as about 10% of the world population) to be left-handed.

I know a person who is 20% Asperger and he speaks in exactly the same difficult way as Newey .
It is a characteristic of being Asperger .

Wasn't suggesting that a link exists between left-handedness and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Merely pointed out that Newey is left-handed + that I don't believe that he's affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. Many people talk the way he does, taking their time to address questions.

Definitely going to go up and the car could be championship material but it’s not going to be stroll driving that gets it there. Alonso or they grab `verstappen that they are now after to add into the mix.

I could see Max saying "eff it" to Formula 1 though and doing Le Mans or something like that. Or go like full Talladega Nights and go to NASCAR.

I don't think we can say anyone has ASD just by hearing how they talk on a vid. I think it's a pleasant surprise that AN talks normally and to the point in this mad world where fast talking and swearing seems to be the norm, it's those that have a problem with communicating and I tend to avoid those types. Of course not putting anyone down who has the ASD.
