New ///M5 Owner Questions
Hello guys and gals,
I have recently purchased a 2008 bmw smg M5 and needless to say I absolutely love it ...but I am confused on certain matters and was hoping this group of posters could help me First question: The ride appears a bit rough and too aggressive for everyday driving. What settings are best to improve the drive and keep fuel consumption to a minimum? (obviously keep that precious M button off of course ) Second question: Cooling/heating and ventilation always seems to be on in one way or another. Is it possible to just turn it off like in other base bmw models (i.e. the 3 series) If so, how? Well that pretty much covers it. Thank you, Albert. P.S. I am happy to be an M5 owner. Coming from an '08 328i, the 335 guys always made harsh comments regarding my vehicle because they had an astonishing 70 extra horsepower. Now they can eat my dust |

you should go to www.m5board.com
more of a active community there than here normal day to day driving, I drive in D3, EDC off (comfort setting). Ventilation. I usually go into the idrive and set it at "soft" with a blue bar for cold air. Then i'll use the center console to set temp and either put it in auto or turn the dial for how much air i want.
