You are entitled to your opinion. May be you disliked my opinion and approach to discussions but I am not the kind of guy to praise blindly. I have been the guy who has relayed everything I have been told regarding all brands, I'm the one with egg on my face over the poor showing so far with the RS5 results as I stated that the RS5 should be quicker in most things. But that aside those figures achieved for the M3 by C&D are beyond exceptional, in my opinion no RWD with the same PTW as an AWD should or could be capable of achieving a better 0-60mph time. For someone to suggest tweaks to the DSC setup is plain laughable, two things achieve this (when gearing is the same) and that is power increase or less weight.....end of story. I look forward to the first videos showing stock customer RS5s vs stock customer M3s to see if the results match what we are seeing here.....somehow I doubt it.
Ah footie........honored that I got the longest response from you. We can talk Audi all day, but despite me not being a fan boy, I can't let anyone argue Audi and how great of a performance car they build (minus the brilliant R8). They under-steer, they are not a true performance car and all of the gizzmos working to cut down on the under-steer and the whacked weight distribution won't change the fact.

When it comes to interiors and all-weather handling: Audi FTW.
When it comes to handling and pure performance: Audi FTL.

Cheers,

We have great mods, especially South. We would have even better ones if a certain one....****cough, cough, PG, cough, cough****.....wasn't relieved of his duties.

I have to agree, South is a very good mod and someone I class as a friend on this and another forum.

I wouldn't have a bad word spoke about him.

Seems that this thread has not had much discussion in the last few days. I'll chime in anyway. Even being one who has vehemently argued against footie in the past, I would still say there is no reason I am aware of to have him banned from any part of the forum. I find his approaches often intentionally bating or "stiring the pot" and wonder about the personality of someone so strongly and regularly promoting brand X on competitive forum Y, but there are no forum rules against that AFAIK.

Thanks for the support swamp but alas I have since been banned from not only the 'M3 vs' section where most interesting topics are discussed that have nothing to do with brand x though do include brand y and a through to z but have now been banned from 'General M3' section as well as having the ability to PM if I want to, so now no one can even contact me. Very unfair.

I honestly don't see where I have broke the rules to the extent that there was a need for such action. All I have ever done is give a different perspective on things and argued my point, not abusively or disrespectfully but firmly and with a passion.

Regards

Bob

Welcome back Bob.Whatever happened, I don't care.

Though we had some 'small issues in the past' your direct way of saying (mainly true)things is what I appreciated most.

And we both like/love the Escort MkII, so we do have something in common , at last. LOL.

Cheers

I agree. I've never seen you break the forum rules (at least those I'm aware of). I would contact south if you can. He is a long term mod and is extremely fair IMO. If you can't contact him I can ask him to contact you.

Swamp, I have contacted South on another forum though I doubt he has any control or sway with either Jason or Mark on this subject. I think both view me as trouble with a capitol T and bad news for the forum. Frankly I always thought that though I wasn't liked because I promoted a different opinion and argued a lot I still kept the forum interesting.

May be if you or someone else did a poll on whether I am good or bad for the forum and all it's sections then just may be Jason or Mark might reconsider. But hey, if people don't want me here then I will move on, because at the moment all I am doing anyway is watching and I can do that as a non member just as easily.

I'm always about what is fair. You and I have had our vehement disagreements and although I don't always "get" your approach, I think you are a welcome member of this forum/community. Owning an M3 in the past certainly helps... I will PM south and see what he can share.

You need to stay. It's nice to see proper grammar and intelligent viewpoints that aren't on the bandwagon.
