Engine ticking noise

I have searched in this forum and there is nothing here.... while there are a lot of discussion in the 3 forum about this ticking noise that is also happens for E60.

Anyone has a ticking noise from the 5?

It's common in the V8s. My car does it. I don't think it's anything to worry about.

It could be one or more of many things. Take it to a friend who knows an "OK" tick from a "very bad" tick. And check your oil level to make sure there's enough!

I finally have the dealership agreed to change the cylinder head after two replacement of different components etc. The car now run quietly, much more quieter than my brother's 2009 5er and have in city 2 mpg better. I am glad I have this fixed.
