Any diff between 2005 and 2004?
Hey guys, I'm new to the 5 series world, but I'm thinking about getting a 545i. Is there any difference between the 2004 and 2005 years? Also, are there any major problems that I should be aware of before I buy one? Any major maintenance that needs to be done? I'm probably looking at getting one with high miles on it. Thanks for any advice!

I've had an 06 550i and 08 M5 and can tell you that the 04s and 05s are exactly the same. It's only when the LCI 08s came out that the changes (revamped bumpers, headlights, taillights, and interior) occurred. Both my pre-LCI and LCI E60s were flawless machines; not one visit to the dealer for an unexpected electrical/mechanical problem. However these cars regardless of model year are notorious for window seal creaking noises. There is a warranty fix available consisting of new door seals and silicone tape. Other than that, the E60 will bring countless miles of driving fun.
