No Wii for me

Man, you'd think that by being at Target by 6.30am I'd be in with a chance, but no. With 14 consoles and a line over 30 deep, I gave up and went to Circuit City. I stopped at Wal-Mart enroute and nothing. Circuit City only had 6 consoles with 10 people in line, then it was off to GameStop and when I got there the people laughed because I hadn't been there since midnight. Final stop was EB and despite there being 12 people lining up for a rumored 5 PS3 and 5 Wii, I waited until they opened. I was, of course, disappointed.

Just wanted to vent. What's most annoying is that half the consoles sold today will end up on eBay, where some idiot will exploit someone else into paying a hugely marked up price to get it in time for Christmas.:mad:

You gotta wake up early and by early i mean 5 and get there by 530. Thats what i did 3 weeks ago and got my wii and zelda. Only got zelda to resell but my cousin opened it grrr. Its a great system but dont sweat it, you ll get it soon enough.

I feel your pain!! I just woke up. Here's my story.

Partied with friends till 3:00am today. Went to Best Buy @ 3:45am. 24 people in line. There was a note on the front door saying they had 24 game consoles... I was the 25th person! :mad:

I drive to Circuit City. I'm number 11 in line. Wait till 5:15 or so and a customer service guy comes out and says they have 10!! WTF?!!!! :mad: :mad:

I give up man! I wanted this stooopid console for my nephew man. This sucks. Went home and finally fell asleep ~ 6:00 and had 3 1/2 hours of sleep.

I got mine the day it came out..I waited in the cold ALL NIGHT....best buy got 86 and i was 26 in line! I got there about 12:45 and waited untill 9 and got mine! It was like 35 degrees that night though!

Playing it right not actually! Check it out! i love it!!


I also ordered the component cables the day nintendo put them online to order and they showed up the day after i got the console!

sorry to hear about that Grippster. its kind of funny that i brought a Wii the same day i picked up my 328. it was a very happy day,lol. oh Natureboy, your car is my car roll model.

dont worry about it man, there will be a bunch more shortly, i will bet youll have one by the end of the week, the wii are being produced like 4x faster than the ps3

ill probably get it just for zelda, i have been a zelda fan since i was a midget

Thanks all. I originally posted at around 8am after getting home, cold, wet and disappointed. I had a cup of coffee and got over it. I realize that these things are going to be piled high in stores come January.

I'm lucky I didn't have Mava's experience. That really blows dude. So close....

I got the 325 last year..

I sold a bunch of games to buy it! Lots of Gamecube and ps2 and original xbox about 30 games if i had to guess and that pretty took care of the cost so the only hard part was sitting in the cold all night! By myself none the less too! I couldn't find any friends willing to wait with me! Component cables are a must whenever you get one! It is a MAJOR difference on zelda!! Good luck finding one!

This is why I waited a year to get the xbox 360. This way no lines and all the bugs should be gone by now.

Although I'm going to Toys R Us tomorrow morning around 7:30am to hopefully get a Elmo TMX, the one the laughs and rolls around. I HAVE to get it for my nephew haha.

I asked a friend of mine who is manager at an EB to hold one for me so he did, and we discreetly processed the transaction when I got there at my own leisure so none of the other customers would see it. I got an extra controller pair too which is also near impossible to find

Edit: oneshare, that set-up would drive me mad, all the devices you have sitting on those shelves are placed a little crooked! All my stuff has to be aligned within a mm of where it should be
