Lightbulb FACEBOOK Contacts

Can they fuck up your chances for a job? Was looking into this job and they demanded my facebook account.

What are the chances they will randomly start asking shit to one of my contacts? I don't post crazy pics or blab what the fuck I'm doing every 5 seconds.

Nope. Its clean. But I know once I turn over my username they can see my friends list. I think Facebook is broken like that.

You can hide your friends list from anyone but your friends.

Cliick on Settings, then Privacy Settings, then Seach. Uncheck 'Friends'.

Now your friends list will not be shown.

It's sort of their way of background checking you before they hire you. If you saw a picture of a potential employee holding a beer in one hand and a joint in another hand would you hire him?

A beer and a joint, no.. But if it were only a beer, that would not sway my decision of my hiring process of the employee.
I have hired and fired numerous employees at my previous employer and what really matters is the persons job history (how long they were there ofcourse is a major factor, and position they held along with any commendations and special projects). What a person does in their personal life has no merit on my judgement.
Take me for example, I am heavily tatted. But at work I wear long sleeves, including on the casual dress day that we have. Now it is none of my employers business to know what is on my body due to the fact that this has no merit on how I can conduct myself at work.

Its for a Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For.

I thought about lying and saying I didn't have one but I didn't want to risk it. Besides, I don't have lude pics or outrageous blogs.

Recently, I added a bunch of people I went to High School with that found me and those are the people I'm kinda concerned about.
