Did anybody preorder a PS3?

Gamestop is accepting $100 pre-orders but that is still no guarantee that you will receive a unit from the first batches coming in. I am going to wait until late 2007 or until GT5 comes out....

I have been calling every gamestop and ebgames in my area and they are all filled up. I'm trying to buy 2 or 3 so i can resell them on ebay. they are already going for over $1,000 a piece.

I expected that...but again, they mentioned no guarantees that you'd receive the darn first batch units. What's the point?

have you guys heard of that alert system where they send you an email when they first hit the shelves? You pay 20$ for this service some guy claims he purchased over 50 xbox360's and made over $10,000 doing this concept.

already going for over $1,000 a piece? where's this? on ebay? the people who have pre-ordered arent guaranteed to get it as far as i know, it all depends on sony am i right?

thats correct about everyone not getting one, but everystore gets anywhere from 8-15 i think.

Agreed....I don't want one until GT5 or Vision GT or whatever they'll call it.

Im trying to get one but i doubt ill keep it, ill prob turn around and put it on ebay. All the ebgames are out near me but i have a sony style store so i guess ill camp out, hopefully its a cold november in florida this year.

I already have a 360 and I would rather have a Wii then a ps3, I know it is NO WHERE near as powerful, but it looks like ALOT more fun, the ps3 isn't really doing anything new, all it does is make kick ass looking games.

i'm planning to camp out at the sony store too, but i'm in san francisco. tried to pre-order at ebgames and gamestop but there were hella people. I'm asking my friends to see if they know anyone that works at like bestbuy, target, and circuit city cause they sell it there too. if i get my hands on 2 or 3 PS3, anyone want it?

ill take one unless you mark them up or i get one. I also have a 360 and love it but my bday is in november, and consoles coincidentally keep getting launched in that month =D I doubt ill keep this console or even open it for that matter.

I had one pre-ordered till they (Sony) decided they couldn't give Europe a xmas release. Ordered a Wii instead - Sony's loss.

PS3 will have 8 core system and use blue ray or whatever stuff.

and will cost more than 1K.

Don't think that is worth.

I would buy new PS2 with 10~15 games.

I snagged 2 Ps3 preorders last week.

I will be selling on ebay.

As much as I love the PS3 Im going wait till next year to get one.(price on ebay is too high to pass up)

I have a 360 and will be getting a Wii.
