Shouldn't have bought that Zonda...
http://www.autocarmagazine.co.uk/New...llCars/232532/
This will be one in the eye for all the zealots on supercars.net who simply can't accept that a "Datsun" is faster round the Nurburgring that all their favourite Porsches/Ferraris etc. It's simply astonishing how they've managed to achieve that with such a relatively heavyweight car. Although IIRC, according to early dynos they were chucking out quite a bit more than the claimed 476bhp. Wonder what the V-Spec will do? And of course, I'd rather have a Zonda as it's not just about speed, but a superb achievement nonetheless |

That car is just mind-boggling quick... Wish I could responsibly afford to go out and buy one!

I just cant get myself to like it. I thought I really would and thought it would be my next car, especially since I owned a 300zx which I LOVED but this car just doesnt do it for me.

Yep, I would be in same camp as Papethova, while the Nissan is quick it will never be fast enough to outrun it's tragic appearance, my gosh, what a hideous car, not quite Veyronfugly, not quite Priusfugly, but fugly indeed.
Now the Zonda is a different deal altogether.

The website below shows that the Zonda's time was actually 7.27 and therefore was faster than the Nissan GTR. The Zonda posted the time on a semi wet track and therefore should be faster in the dry. The loaded BMW M3 posted a better time than both the Zonda and Nissan GTR. See web site below.
Still it's a good achievement for a Nissan. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nordsch...test_lap_times |

Wikipedia is hardly Britannica, hardly informed, Wikipedia can be edited by your agenda-driven next-door neighbor.

The Loaded M3 did indeed go faster, but it's not a standard production car. I'm sure a 9ff would go around rather rapidly, but that's beside the point.
The point is that a stock production GT-R, which costs just over £50k in the UK set the quickest time for a 'normal' car, which was previously held by a £300k+ exotic. In any case, the Loaded M3 is still slower than the Radical which took around 6:55 IIRC and that's completely road legal. Not something you'd want to drive to work though! The V-Spec with extra power and 300+ lbs less weight should be spectacular. Personally, I think the GT-R looks superb; menacing is how I'd describe it. Same would go for the Veyron, but not the Prius! |

I'd sell a kidney, lung, and testicle for a Zonda. No kidding.

You, sir, are correct. I find it very funny when some people get most of their information off wikipedia and start to quote things I love to tell them about wikipedia and see them get all sad
