Does anyone here ride road bikes?

I was wondering if anyone in this forum rides road bikes? I have just started. I purchased an 08 Giant OCR 2. I am looking foward to getting into it and was wondering if anyone had any good tips or if anyone has any good websites to buy jerseys and bike parts.

I ride road bikes, but am relatively new myself and just got a 2007 Giant TCR A1 last week. Was actually going to get the OCR1 but this was $400 off so was about the same price as the OCR1. Giant makes great frames so I'm pretty excited about picking it up tomorrow (My 135 is delayed until late april/early may so I thought I deserved something for my patience).

Anyways, you probably already know these sites but www.roadbikereview.com and www.bicycling.com are great resources with links to some good online stores.

I have a giant tcr 1, ride quite a bit. I bought the yakima kingjoe 2 for my 135 so when I'm not carrying my bike I can take the rack totally off, and I'll use the ski sack in lieu of a ski rack in the winter.

I have been a hard core road cycling enthusiast for many years. It is the most challenging sport in the world, in my opinion.

For best quality and selection in parts and clothing, try http://www.coloradocyclist.com or http://www.excelsports.com or http://www.gitabike.com

You will love your Giant road bikes. My wife and I are both sponsored by Giant Canada so we get the luxury of new race bikes (road & mountain) every year.

Congrats about jumping in to a great and healthy sport.

I love biking. I have gone through quite a few bikes in the past few years. Iron Horse MKiii, Specialized Enduro Expert, Fuji Race Sl, and Scott Scale 10.

As you can see I am a mountain biker by heart, but want to go back into road biking as well.

My current bike, the Scott Scale 10 is somewhat of a blend of both so I can enjoy uphills, while being able to take some gravel.

I have been riding road (mostly off road before) for the past couple of months. I bought an '08 Specialized Tarmac. I figured it was a good starter bike and I will upgrade it as I go.

I also own a '05 Ellsworth Moment. Best off-road bike I have ridden. I plan on buying the Ellsworth Scant road frame down the road, unless there is something I like better by then.

best thing to learn asap is cadence and keeping your avg speed up

as you train more reg and harder lactic training is a must

just keep the riding up and get a trainer for cold days!
