My dog is a wuss
He whimpers and shakes like crazy when it thunders and he curls up in a ball on me. That's not a good thing for him to be scared of considering we live in S. Florida and it thunders daily in the summer, you'd think he would get used to it but even really faint thunder he whines. Anyone else have a sissy dog like mine? lol

My smaller dachshund is fearless of rain - but my older dachshund is quite afraid. He can smell rain and will become quite obstinate when it's time to take him out to do his business. I would have to drag him out against his will. He's like a cat that's afraid of water. My little one is afraid of bicycles and motorcycles - anything that's ridiculously loud. They're both also scared of power drills.
When they're scared, they cuddle next to each other brokeback mountain (or should I say brokeback doghouse) style: EDIT: Their nemesis is the vacuum cleaner. They both will piss their pants (literally) when I vacuum.

Wussy dog
Well, one of the things I liked about the movie Patton was that his (General Patton's) dog was a wuss. I think he named his dog William, but after getting frightened by an English toy dog, he declared that William was too good for the dog, and called him Willie.
We have a hamster, Hermione, who is afraid of virtually every sound. If she could she would go about her cage with her plastic house on her back til she gets up to the food and can eat it without getting out. I think she was a turtle in a previous life. |

Damn, nice name, e90! My woman wants to name her daughter just that - Hermione! Fearful of being teased as a Harry Potter character she's now vowing for the name Hermaides - but it's still similar in pronunciation.

My dogs are only wusses if they are separated from eachother. Together they are fearless...they almost got eaten by a HUGE stray dog, but they still kept barking at it...dumb dogs.

My wheaten tries to eat anything that moves and makes noise including the weed-wacker.
Off topic, but I saw the funniest thing this weekend with my sisters dog. A nuetered male Yorkie and he likes to hump on my little female miniture schnauzer. Well, he humped himself until he was stuck (in himself). His outer skin folded under and he couldn't retract.

Nikki, you’re not alone. My 100 lb. American Bulldog puppy is the biggest sissy ever. Thunder and fireworks make her shake and hide for a couple hours. After the Super Bowl and 4th of July was horrific for her. She gets scared of anything new in the yard or in the house i.e. a package at the front door, trash cans on the curb for trash day ect. Here is a pic of the big wuss.
