Ncs-exper issue or car issue?
Dear users,
I've a weird issue with a E60 pre-lci. The car came with major transmission problems. Some other shop had replaced the transmission without reprogramming it to the car. So I did just that and it went successful, INPA & ISTA/d did recognize the transmission, which wasn't the case before, and drives perfectly. Did a flush, sleeve replacement, connector plug replacement etc. So i finished the car everything seemed just fine and the custommer asked me if I can code and install aux-port. But when I tried that it did not get even close to that. NCS-EXPERT did find the vin, FA recognized, connected just fine but, when I press back so that I can choose which ecu's to process etc. It throws a weird error code called "COAPI-1000: Fehler". Then I did some research and rode that it might have something to do with ecu replacement and not correctly reprograming them or trim some other files to trim accessibility to some other ecu's so that they cannot submit any errors to them such as to the Instrument cluster. I asked the customer about it and he told me that someone has done some programming/coding within the ecu's so that the car does not display any warning lights on the dash JUST LIKE IT DOES NOT INDEED..... the warning lights are not visible on the dash, only on the central entertainment screen. Does someone have some suggestions on this? I am actually a little bit confused and scared to reprogram all of the ecu's via winkfp because of the fact that I do not know what happened before the car came to me. I absolutely don't want to mess something up. Thank you in advance! |
