Steering gear rebuild problem
Hi! Please does anybody heard about lci e60/e61 basic (not active) power steering problem after rebuild? Elstock etc.. we tried alot of manufacturers and all lci cars with that different pump with external reservior have this problem. When we tried same power steering put to prelci car, problem was gone (maybe luck) also if you put back original steering gear with free play, problem is gone... The noise/vibration can be found mainly on high pressure lines (not in all lines)...
i know about other mechanic, who are in the same situation and tried everything possible without any luck. Totally shhh situation.. pre lci/and lci have only different power steering pump and maybe one powersteering outlet pipe.. but we tried to put pre lci pump and pipes to lci without any luck!! Also tried different fluids like atf, different method for bleed process, different/new pump.. and no luck.. its mainly when steer to left and fast release pressure wheen steering back to straight forward. It looks like there is still air inside of steering gear... also you can still see some little bubles when turning left/right with engine off. ALSO THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THIS NOISE BEFORE POWERSTEERING EXCHANGE because of big play... totally weird situation.. my friend tried to send it for reclamation also without any luck. But as i said, thats totally weird situation, actually know about 6 cars with same problem after rebuild/exchange.. and always problem on left turns-not right turns.. 😡😡😡😡😡 Video : https://youtube.com/shorts/UJVdlo5hj...S-yPnvAok06UJb |
