Fuel in my oil 550i E60

A few weeks ago, I had an unfortunate incident with my 550i. I left for work in the morning with a cracked oil filter cap, an issue I still can't fathom. The oil change had been done nearly three months prior without any problems, and there were no warning lights.

Within seconds of leaving my neighborhood, the car began to jerk and sputter, with the oil light coming on and a tapping noise emerging. Before I could pull over, the car shut off. Luckily, I wasn't far from home and had it towed back.

Upon inspection, there was still oil left in the pan and filter, roughly a quart and a half. I thought refilling the oil and replacing the filter might resolve the issue. Although it cranks and the motor can be turned by hand, it will do 30 second crank sessions..but wont turn over. The oil has a fuel smell, indicating that the piston rings might be damaged on one or more pistons. Additionally, it’s showing exhaust side camshaft sensor codes, though a multimeter check showed everything is fine..
