Aston Martin Vanquish – An icon returns to reign supreme
Finally an Aston with a good looking interior. No more amoeba-blob center stack, thankfully. Great long hood-short deck proportions and flowing line from headlamp to quarters. Looks like the steering wheel switchgear still comes from the MB parts bin. Nice to see a "new 5.2 V12" engine developed. ICE will be around for a long time.
https://www.astonmartin.com/en-us/ou...-reign-supreme 02 September 2024, Venice, Italy: With the introduction of the most potent flagship in its 111-year history, Aston Martin is proud to announce the return of its most legendary nameplate: Vanquish. A technical masterpiece befitting a true class leader, Vanquish sits at the pinnacle of Aston Martin’s fabled front-engined sports car range. Showcasing exceptional in-house engineering ability, a new legend extends this dynastic bloodline in magnificent style. Highlights include a world-class V12 engine of monumental potency, a bespoke chassis bristling with state-of-the-art dynamics technology, carbon fibre bodywork of unmatched presence and an interior which sets new standards of modern luxury. With production limited to under 1000 examples a year, this icon will continue to reign in ultra-luxury exclusivity. Powered by a new 5.2-litre Twin-Turbo V12 producing an astonishing 835PS and 1000Nm of torque, Vanquish achieves a new benchmark for supercar performance with immense in-gear acceleration and a top speed of 214mph – the highest top speed of an Aston Martin series production car to date. Only by refining every stage of the internal combustion process has this unprecedented performance and efficiency been achieved, while ensuring this magnificent V12 meets the latest emissions legislation across global markets. Shmee posted a video of a silver one with body colored back end and it looked way better.
Aston crushing it with the new designs. I’m ready to buy one at 60% off in 3 years (and then cry myself to sleep in year 4 when it loses another $40k) |

Really crap photos from OP.
Absolutely stunning. Videos on a home cinema screen will convey what it looks like way better than photos on a phone. Ask me how I know. Incredible. Out of my price bracket. Lawrence is getting smart with pricing and production numbers with all the Ferrari hires. Goldenz will never own one. Likely me as well sadly. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=fSrR6Q08D6g https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tnz094DLgdc |

Looks like a Camero with an elongated nose and a tacked-on Aston grille

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

I dig it, which isn't something I can say about what aston has been doing lately.

The black rear reminds me of the Nissan NISMO Z.
