Question: Since generally speaking, waxes shouldnt be applied to frozen colors, this begs the question, how do you get water to bead or sheet on these finishes? Or, conversely, dont you? Can you use a sealant instead?

The product is awesome, and not too exopensive. I think $30 for a bottle, and I can apply it several times a year. |

I know this thread is about pros and cons of BMW frozen paint and my question is fairly on topic.
So my x5 has a production date of 2/16(tm at the time of writing), and I have ordered the Brooklyn grey color I would love to make that into a matte color but am unsure how to go about that. I've heard that BMW frozen paints just have an additional coating which reduces the reflection of light off of the paint by 40%. So I was wondering if anyone has done this after-market, if it is even available, or if my only option is to get matte ppf (cost 7K). I think Brooklyn grey in matte would look absolutely stunning. |
