E60 530D Loss of power

Good evening all.

I have an issue with loss of power. The car drives fine and normal until you give it a bit of acceleration around 2000rpm or higher. It feels as though the turbo is non existent. I read about the maf sensor so disconnected and run up the road without it, the car pulled like a train and felt better than ever. Until a few minutes later wheh the car was warm and all was back to as it was before.

I haven't had the time or the knowledge to know what to try next. But what I did notice is that after sitting for a while in traffic I had blue smoke appear when accelerating which soon cleared up, I also get a little smoke when starting the car.

I do have a smell of exhaust fumes within the car and the car does sound loud, but not like an exhaust blow noise, just a loud diesel.

Would anyone have any recommendations on what I can look at next please?

Did you ever find the problem for this issue? I’m seeing similar symptoms in my 545.
