The powder from Huel came today, yikes this stuff is disgusting! Hoping once I use a blender/shaker and cold water it will be better. Oh well, I'll just chug it down...saves even more time if it tastes like crap lol.

Huel came on Saturday. The free sample bars were about what one expects.

I had Cajun Hot and Savory yesterday. Noodles took much longer than they said. Added boiling water to the hot pot. Waited 5+ minutes. Bit a noodle and it crunched. Whole thing went back into the micro for another minute, then sat for another minute before I had soft noodles. Wasn't hungry all afternoon though.

Might try the green curry for lunch today.

Okay, so been using it for a few days and I have to say the shakes aren't bad. Key is to use a GOOD shaker and I've found mixing one scoop of the black bag vanilla with one scoop of the white bag banana is quite good. My wife who hates drinking meals doesn't mind it either. Surprisingly they do hold me for a while, which is saying a lot since I'm in physically demanding work. Was nice having such quick breakfasts, just shake the thing as I drive. Doing two meals a day now and Factor arrives today.

Good to hear, sucks it wasn't faster...but the real question is, was it better than chunky beef soup? I know it was at least better for you...but was it better?

Certainly didn't compare to chicken/gumbo, but with half a shaker of salt, it might be close. I need a small roll of Ritz with the chicken/gumbo too, not so with the Huel.

Well cutting those crackers out alone will be a big deal. That's why I can't eat soup, I eat an obscene amount of crackers with it, my wife's words not mine.

Green curry gone. Not sure exactly what it is I ate though. Label says 50g carbs After about 3 spoons, I went back and put 2 pinches of salt. Curry gots to have salt, even if label says 440mg already included.

So I noticed tonight...and other times as well, that the Factor meals weight felt off. Sure enough one meal was 11oz and the other 15oz. Supposed to be 13oz so I guess it evens out but that could screw your calories up.

I can give you my morning smoothie recipe later today. But I throw everything you can think of in a big ninja blender and make enough for 2 days. I throw in vitamins, supplements, protein of course, carrots, blueberries, more later

Mac and Cheese today. Let's just say it isn't Kraft!

Rip open the bag, feel the zipper, seems to be closed. Instructions say to invert/shake to make sure you get all the flavors mixed in. Shit is worse than cement, it goes EVERYWHERE. And it could have used more salt. Thinking to myself, "Self, you should have put more cheese on top"

The hot pot thingy they sent me is also a disaster waiting to happen. Just set the top on, liquids pour out all over. A few twists, but not secured solid, liquids pour out all over. Label says not to screw it all the way down, wonder what is going to happen tomorrow for lunch . . .

You're making me glad I didn't get the hot meals

I know enjoy the shakes, wife is liking them too, she even has them ready for when we leave in the morning.

The new thing I'm trying...right now actually...is Methylene Blue. I'm like a walking experiment at this point. Since the Dr's can't figure out how to fix me I'll do some experimenting myself (safely of course). My two month blood work is around the corner and I want to see some progress for once! I'm starting to lean towards my Lyme Disease I had as a kid is screwing everything up.

I some how missed your post. Interesting stuff, I could just crunch on a tub of pulled pork all day lol. Pretty good tasting or too salty? (That's what she said)

Ninja Blender:

blue berries (frozen ideally wild)
orange
carrots
celery
oats
pumpkin (optional)
ginger root (optional)
half of a frozen banana

Protein powder

I drink half that day and the other half I pour into a insulated jug in the fridge for the following day.

Game changer

There is a vanilla bottle in the fridge, I guess it's a shake?

Bon Appetit!

400cal for this too! Current blood sugar is 124, see what happens.

Smoothies are my go-to To Go thing. Like the overnight oats I've been eating for breakfast, they use the same base of protein powder, cinnamon, ground ginger, chia, almond milk (unsweetened), and greek yogurt. I grab a multivitamin to fill in the many gaps. Typically, I'll either add organic cocoa power + peanut butter + banana + blueberries or just go with strawberries + blueberries.

Salads are easy prep. Mine get blueberries, too.

The aforementioned overnight oats are fairly quick to make and I make enough for the whole week. I just grab a jar from the fridge and eat it at work. If I can't finish in one aitting, I slap the lid back on and stow it for later. No issues w/ the whey (or casein) protein or fruit (blueberries, strawberries, or mashed banana) lasting until Friday (from a Sunday prep). If using mashed banana, I've been adding nutmeg for a banana bread-like flavor. I always add some crushed walnuts regardless of content. I say crushed because I'm not civilized enough to chop them.

Topped out at 400 (max on my CGM) even with an extra shot after about 2 hours. Something in there didn't sit right. . .

Have the Cajun pasta in the hotpot right now. This time I added some salt to the water before waving, hopeful the flavor profile improves. Certainly have been full all afternoon after eating these.
