Storage in X7 tailgate

After 2 years of ownership...well I'm married to the owner, actually
I've discovered a long slender storage/cubby built into the rear
Hatch of my....er...her X7. IWhatever goes in there is like the
medical kit - non existent.
I can't find any info in the book or on line. Too big for a tow hook, I would
Imagine. Anyway, the tow hook is under the floor.
Got me curious, is all.

Agreed. There should be a little picture of a warning triangle on the door to that compartment.
