Added a Quickjack 5000TL $1450 at Home Despot

So i own a MaxJax and its great for my low ceiling garage but there are times I don't want to put an additional car outside so today I got my Home Depot statement and on the back was get 200 of quick jack set up and I figured heck lets use the 0% financing and military discount which they gave me....saved 485 on the stuff I was going to order anyway.

Plans for it my team does 4 lemons races a year so having this greatly expedites simple brake changes and emergency stops where you might need to be under the car. It also allows me to work under a single bay vs rolling out a stored car into weather. Effectively giving me three car use.

For that use case they work perfect. I have a buddy that has one and for tire rotations/oil changes or brakes it is great since you can lift the car up quickly. For anything else I honestly hate it, because it is 10 times harder to get under the car, as you can't get under it from the side, you have to go under it from the front or the back every time. They are also very heavy.

I own Quickjacks. They are heavy and take a minute to setup, but definitely better than working under a jack or jack stands. Happy with mine. My 2002tii spent 6 months on my quickjacks while i restored it.

I got mine on clearance at Costco a couple years ago for $799. Great investment. I just used them to help my trainer replace the brakes on his VW. Once you use them a couple times you can get them set up in about 3 minutes.

Nice recommendation!
I'll look into a pair - would certainly provide a height adjustment for not killing your back when you bend under the hood
