This is why companies offer recalls to support their products. BMW is better than many when it comes to taking care of their customers imho. It also helps to have a great local dealership as we have here.

tl;dr so apologies if this has already been done. I got a recall notice this week too. It's for my 2007 Z4 3.0si coupe, which has an electrically operated valve that can short out and -- yep -- cause a car fire. No warning to park outside though! I guess cars catching fire is becoming a BMW tradition?
