But I will add this video that goes against my gripe with red bull because apparently, the 2022 FIA rules actually do allow you to flagrantly run other drivers off the track…. This is going to get messy for 2nd half of the year. |

Article 33.3 of the FIA Formula One Sporting Regulations: If a driver disregards track limits during a lap, that lap time will be deleted because considered gaining an unfair advantage by going off the track. If track limits are violated on the final corner of a track, not only will that lap time be deleted, but the lap time of the next lap will also not count, as going wide on the final corner is seen to give drivers an advantage (extra speed) for their next lap. If drivers disregard track limits four times during an F1 race, they will be shown a black and white diagonally split flag (so nothing happens during violations #1, #2 and #3 - but upon violation #4 the B/W flag is shown). Violation #5 implies a 5-second time penalty and likely a penalty point. Violation #6: bad idea. And remember: 12 points available over a 12-month period. Lose those = a race ban for the next event. Tsunoda - Imola 2021: Examples of track limits violation:

Second, I don’t watch these videos you all post because they’re all biased towards or against certain driver(s) or team(s). I only watch the videos that are technical in nature, explaining the upgrades the teams are bringing and their effect of the cars. Third, as a Charles fan and more so a Ferrari fan, I took zero issue with his battle with Checo that lost him two places in those last two/three corners. What you may see as cheating I see as hard nose racing. That type of action happens all the time. All drivers go wide/force each other off trying to overtake or defend. Lastly, even though I root for Ferrari I can still appreciate the greatness of other drivers. You’ll notice I never flame Lewis, Max or any other drivers. If anything I criticize my team for constantly screwing up one way or another and throwing away victories or positions, Monaco and throwing away a 1-2 in this race comes to mind. |
