Just came across this. This could be good, the series has had some good and bad iterations. I'll give this a go though.

Also watching Halo, I've never played the game (I'm not a gamer at all really) so I have nothing to compare it too but we are enjoying it.
I am enjoying Halo as well, but with all of this talk about Ozark, I may need to jump on that too.

edit: Ten minutes in and I'm already hooked. Ozark wastes no time dangling various carrots to nibble on.

Also finished Ozark last night. I didn't hate the finale either, there are worse ways to end a show, it was almost very Sopranos like in it's ending. I just wish they didn't tease the crash in both the trailers and the premiere, it would have been much more shocking otherwise.

Episode one was a very good start. Not great, but good. I really like the retro feel it has.

Decided to give Santa Clarita Diet another shot since we loved Olyphant in Justified. He's totally different here obviously but it's a pretty funny show, which is cool since I never laugh at anything really.

I have, I like the way it started but got kind of weird and political if you get my drift.

I watched the first episode of Strange New World last night. Not too bad, if your a fan of the original Star Trek it makes sense.

Just started it. I’m a little annoyed by the Freevee logo on screen and commercials but hopefully the commercials aren’t excessive.

They kind of left it open for a season 5.

I watched The Pentaverate on Netflix over the weekend. I enjoyed it, but it's seriously one of the most bizarre things I've ever seen written and filmed.

Jason said that it's done and they may have gotten out alive been they're limping away. Does anyone else love that Julia Gardner emerged to stardom as Ruth? I think that she signed a deal with Netflix for another project.

She was also excellent on The Americans in Season Three. She recently played Anna Delvey on Inventing Anna and she was great in that too, hope to see her in a lot more roles.

finally finished season 4 of MMM as well, but i disagree, to some extent, with this assessment...i think that final scene in S4E8 with lenny bruce puts season 4 and midge's career in perspective. the writers intentionally have her wallowing a bit because it aligns with the decisions / mistakes her character makes. hopefully it sets the stage for greater story and character progression in S5.

the writing on this show is just so good...so sharp...and all of the actors deliver it with impeccable timing.

The writing is still strong, it just didn't help that the show was a weekly thing rather than streaming at once. The momentum of continuing the show week to week without too much happening each episode made it feel more like a drag.

Lol, there are still plenty of shows I watch week to week, but my point is with Maisel, the pacing was so slow that as weeks went by it felt like the story wasn't going anywhere for some time. With weekly shows they need to be able to have the viewer hyped or excited for the next week, with Maisel this season I thought they could do more, I was more so tuning in honestly for Abe and Rose more so than Midge. Season 2 and the Catskills are still some of the best episodes in my opinion.

She was just FANTASTIC wasn't she and yeah seems to have launched her career. She has lost a lot of weight though, compare her in the first season to the last season and she's dropped quite a lot to keep hollywood happy i imagine.

She was great in Ozark and very good in the Americans. Couldn't get into Inventing Ana and thought The Assistant sucked. Hope she gets some good projects going forward.
