Why is BMW holding 2023 models that have already arrived in the US?
My 2023 M850 GC has been sitting at the VPC in New Jersey since 3/31/2022. My dealership says BMW corporate won’t release it to the dealership yet. Very strange.

It is also possible they don't have final EPA approval and ratings to print the Monroney sticker. It's happened before.

Any update on 2023 8 series release date?
My 2023 M850 GC is still sitting at the VPC in New Jersey with no known delivery date to the dealership! What is the hold up? It’s been there since 3/31/2022.

He is referring to the EPAs approval of the vehicle to bmw that it meets emissions standards. This isn't a public process but we are lucky to have insiders in the know…. |

Dated one-month ago.
Anyone else find it odd that it includes the B8 and the M850 in the same certification? |

My 2023 M8 GC has been at the Galveston VPC since 3/30. I just spoke with the Genius line and was told it is scheduled for transport this Friday. I'm guessing it was the certificate being released was the trigger.

US Alpina models are not VIN'd as Alpina cars and have the Basis Variant Type Code and model designation. No. |

Well, thanks for that. Still not sure how an EPA certification can cover two different engines, but it apparently is what it is. It's all self-testing anyway.
