Hopefully I'll be spending this weekend catching up on Dexter. Still need to finish season 7 and 8. Two episodes into season 7 now.

Also doing a chrome delete on the girlfriends car this weekend. It's going to be cold and shitty this weekend. Alternating between the garage and Dexter should do us up nicely.

I plan to wait for the new season of Dexter to finish and then I'll opt for a free trial of Showtime to binge watch it.

Watched the first episode of The Shrink Next Door" with Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd. I thought it was pretty good. Ferrell showed his acting chops playing a semi-serious role.

I'll have to check it out. I just got three months of Apple TV+ with my new phone so the wife and I have been watching The Morning Show Season 2. So far its kept our interest and is pretty decent, although not as good as season 1, but I'll stick around to see what happens and of course for Jennifer Aniston.

Any other good Apple TV+ shows worth watching? Not interested in See, and season 1 of Servant was okay but repetitive, I also saw there's a new season of Truth Be Told.

Dexter season 7 is where it gets good again after a slump. It's the beginning of the end and by season's end the pieces start to fall in place.

Yeah, you should. I mean I've only seen the first episode but I will likely watch the whole season if it retains my interest. I haven't seen anything else on Apple TV+ so I'm not sure.

our bedroom Roku stopped working so we had to get a digital antenna. It only gets three decent stations. NBC, PBS and something called "memories"?

anyways, around 10:30 when we're going to bed the old "Bob Newhart Show" comes on. It's terrible but we sit and watch it and remember when we were kids and this was "adult" tv. The hot chocolate isn't bad either.

Yes indeed. Wrapped up the season yesterday. F****** excellent.
I predict an El Chapo series at some point.
So if you can handle Subtitles EL Chapo on Netflix is real good.
El Chapo in any language does not play.

We started watching Dan Brown the Lost Symbol the other night, the trailer looked good and I think the story might be ok but it really fell flat for us. We got about half way through the second episode and my wife fell asleep. I asked if she wanted to pick up where we left off last night and got a hard no. I may try a bit more on my own but I think it's going to disappoint.

I haven't read the Lost Symbol but have read a few of the others, it just seems the acting in this isn't great, I can't quite put my finger on what else is wrong but it just isn't working for me.

I was out of things to binge-watch and I started watching the Larry Sanders Show on HBO. That's not something I'd have watched in my 20s, but I enjoy it a lot now. 2 more seasons to go. It's so light and unencumbering to watch. Is it great? No. Can I find anything better to watch on Netflix, HBO, and Prime right know, having watched all the top shows already? Definitely not. My 13-year-old daughter tells me, "Dad, stop watching that old crap and treat yourself with something better!" I'm like, "Hon, you will understand when you get older and you'll be like, oh, Timothee Chalamet and Harry Styles looked like that 30 years ago!?"

The last scene of Season 6 was awesome, I cannot wait to seen what happens next. In the meantime, I am watching Yellowstone and feeling like Jimmy is his own worst enemy and Beth is the glue that keeps it together.

Ozark had a great season 1 then got a bit silly in season 2, just too much shit going down in a small town that all gets brushed under the carpet. i had the same issue with Sons of Anarchy.

However, I thought season 3 was outstanding.
