Did he just run off or something, before you could thank him? Just for educational and comedic purposes, what is a proper thank you for something like that? I just might get one of those life hammers and put one in each of my cars and one in my motorcycle backpack.

I think some people on here might be shocked at how much information they drop about themselves over the course of a few years. Individually, it isn't that useful, but if you have the ability to remember that information and compile it, it sort of all comes together and becomes...useful.

He probably does, or at least the incident itself and is glad he was on hand that day even if he doesn't know you.

I doubt it is what I suspect you are hoping.

Get your mind outa the gutter. Is it getting cold up there or something. It’s a dating thread. I was just hoping to get a date.

And you've mentioned your expectations as to how many dates you will suffer through (a number that can be counted on one hand) before intimacy has to occur or you are out of there....so I'm not wrong am I now? I'm just joining you in the gutter is all.

And no, not cold at all yet - quite nice actually. Currently 18C (65F), which is short sleeves.

I just ordered some off EBay. I’ve always wanted to get some. Your experience pushed me to do it. Thanks!

How long was she in there for? Horrible situation for a parent (and for baby, though happily she won't remember it)

Speaking of which, I have an address decal stuck on the fire extinguishers in all of my vehicles. The one time that I had to discharge my extinguisher on someone else's roadside car-be-cue, I handed the empty extinguisher to that car's driver. About a week later, I received a thank-you note by UPS...attached to a replacement fire extinguisher!!!!!

Unrelated but if your car ever catches on fire, let it go. Don’t rush to put it out to try to save it. You def don’t want a car repaired after fire damage. It changes the metallurgy of the structure and the smell never goes away. Not saying don’t try to put it out, just don’t save it….let it be a total

I've never understood why some people feel the need to bring their dog everywhere with them. I get it, sometimes you're stopping at the grocery store on the way back from the vet, but if it were me I'd plan my time better so I don't have to leave my dog in the car.

I have an old friend who used to bring her dog with her anytime she left the house unless she was going to work.

Apparently it's become such a common thing that Tesla's have a Pet Mode or something of the sort. I think the dash even reads out stating such.

Yep, googled it real quick.

That day, after putting Ferrasol down, (I had her with me because when you get the phone call your horse is dying and needs an emergency vet, you just gotta rush to the barn, infant in tow. No time to find a babysitter) I decided to stop by Saks on the way home and pick up a pair of shoes I had ordered.

I was walking out of Saks and put her in the car, put the Saks bag on the floor board and placed my diaper bag on the passenger seat, like I've done so many times for the past 7 months. Car was turned off. When I closed the passenger side door the car beeped and locked. My heart instantly sank. I started pulling on the door handles, and no unlock response from the car. I ran to the driver side, pulled on the door handles, nothing. I had JUST lost my horse hours earlier, still had the euthanasia receipt in the car from the vet. I thought I was going to lose my daughter that day, too.

BMW made it right. They had no explanation other than a glitch. A glitch that could have been fatal. They paid for all the windows to be replaced.

Still to this day, I do not trust that feature on any of my cars. I carry the key fob in my hand or have my purse on my shoulder when putting my daughter in the car. That feature is not worth the risk of glitch.
I think this is one of the biggest downfalls to keyless start and comfort access vehicles. People get so used to just tossing them in a purse or jacket pocket or the likes and never having to actually use them. Mine are always on my person. I've caught myself tossing them into the center console bbq sauce cubby a couple times and immediately put them back into my pocket.

But, I don't wear those damn skinny jeans like everyone wears these days, so I can actually put things in my pockets lol

Nothing negative intended in this comment, but this very much seems to be a guy/girl or purse/no purse thing.

Guys generally do not have a purse or some similar item that they put things like keys, wallets, etc. in, while women generally do.
