New hiking sandals - your advices pls
So I have to replace my old trekking sandales by new ones and I consider to buy either the Ecco Exowrap M3S or the Teva Hurricane Verge, both are matching into first view my requirements of being comfy onto longer distances and various adjusting abilities to make them the best fit to my feet.
What are your favourites (if have any) or recommendations? Thx in advance.

I wouldn't hike in sandals. Sneakers only. I only wear sandals to a beach.

I don’t do sandals.
New Balance MT10SB trail runners or some type of trail shoe. I wore Merrill Chameleon for a long time and they were good. I want something lighter and more flexible these days. |

Trail sneakers were the worst of all the sneakers I ever wore. I bought them for my seashore experience because they were Gore-Tex. They turned out extremely uncomfortable to wear mostly due to lack of cushioning. I did not find them especially grippy either. Very sturdy though. They felt literally horrible compared to my home summer sneakers. Very plain soles. So I don't consider this type of shoes (for plenty of walking on mixed surfaces including water and uneven terrain) any more.

To differ hiking and hiking for me: Those sandals are primary got used for light trails, beach walks and city hiking, also on bike.
For hiking the mountains or long heavy trails I own a pair of Salomons and Jack Wolfskins. I would use them for the leisure way, so to speak

I like my Teva. I've taken them on hikes of about 4-5 miles length thru "the wild" and back into some swimming holes. VERY comfortable, in/out of water with no worries, and never did slip even if the bottom was wet and I was jumping from rock to rock thru the creek.
At the beach, they rinse off really easily. I've worn "water socks" to pools, and not been happy as with the Teva. And on Friday nights during the summer, with shorts/aloha shirt, I can go to almost any bar/restaurant and still receive service. |

UncleWede "Long Time Admirer, First Time Owner": first time owner of what? I thought you meant a BMW but now you "drive" another one under the same slogan. Is every time the first time in a sense?

The New Balance I mentioned above have gotten me up two Colorado 14ers and up and down Old Rag in Shenandoah. They are good. And light, which is one of my main requirements.
