BMW Watches
This is a question about the various BWM / M-Sport watches. I have my dress, work, dive....watches from the major brands. However, I was thinking about buying a cheap "cars & coffee / meet & greet" BMW watch. Are there any of the $300-$500 (or cheaper) BMW watches that are actually half-decent quality?
I see a lot of ICE watches but I'm not familiar with them and they seem to be overpriced for what they appear to be. However, please provide your opinion on any of these watches that are actually worth the asking prices for them. |

I didn't think this was a bad buy at around $200 from Amazon. The box says it is a Fossil product. The band is well made, too.

It's full stainless, billet-link band, quality latch with push-button release, and the body feels heavy and strong. BMW logos tastefully engraved/embossed on the crown, clasp, and the back plate. My normal go-to watches are the $800 Victorinox chronographs and this one is nearly as hefty. As I said, not a bad buy for $200 and with Amazon Prime you can always return it if you don't like it.

I'm somewhat of a watch snob, and I have never seen a BMW watch that was not a quartz "mall-quality" shitter. Omega makes some fantastic motorsport Speedmaster, a lot of really unique options with the Reduced Speedmaster models, F1 related, Michael Schumacher Editions, etc. Those are out of your price range still.
I would honestly recommend you look at Seiko Divers like the SKX007/9, or one of the SARB seikos. Very nice and robust mechanical watches for quite cheap! The SARB watches are a bit less sporty, more dressy - perfect all rounder. The Seiko SKX007 is a fantastic sports/casual/everyday watch. Seriously, the amount of Rolex collectors that I know who have at least 1-2 Seiko SKX watches would astound you.

To my knowledge, the current crop of BMW watches, ICE notwithstanding, are made/distributed by the FOSSIL Group in the US.. ( I.E. Zodiac... etc.)
