If your serious about a shoe that works well under driving conditions, is comfortable, and can be worn with a suit, I would suggest something by JP Tods.

They have been making Mocs for years and have incorporated the little nub design on the back of the heel into many of their dress shoes. They sort of market themselves as the shoe you want to wear when driving through the hills of Italy in your classic Pininfarina.

The sole design adds some nice grip when your heel n' toeing it. Their not cheap, but I have about 6 pairs and they last for years and never go out of style.

I'm not an expert on shoes...but the best driving shoes I own that I can still wear with a suit are these Bruno Magli's. They have a rubber heel which helps with pedal modulation. Also the rubber soles are not too thick so you can still feel the pedals somewhat.

I would imagine any dress shoes manufactuer's line of "sporty" dress shoes with thin rubber soles and rubber heel should be fine. Prada make a bunch of similar looking shoes.

You don't want to use anything with a thick rubber sole or too heavy construction. I have a pair Allen Edmonds...built like tanks...but absolutely horrid to drive with. Can never drive smoothly wearing them.

Personally, I find proper leather soled dress shoes, have bottoms which are much too slippery for driving. Especially if you have metal pedals!

SD, I have the exact same shoes and they are very comfortable but I didn't recommend them because they are well over his self-imposed budget of $100. Good recommendation though.

Just bring two pairs of shoes, wear your driving shoes and change when you get to work to the dress shoes. Problem solved. Takes what, 30 seconds to put a pair of shoes on?

You are looking for a pair of shoes that is half good at two things when you can get two shoes that are each very good at one thing.

Well...to the OP...if the budget is $100...and you need a comfortable dress shoe and have big feet, I'd go to your local Bass Shoes Outlet store. I picked up a couple decent looking dress shoes for $50. Sure they're not "hand stitched made in Italy"...but who cares it's only $50. And they comfortable and light enough to drive with.

Epidemic had me wearing through house shoes. They were all slip-ons that were good for feel but too loose to work pedals.

Laced kung fu shoes work but they don't wear well long term.

The most durable shoes that carried the most miles for me were Asics boxing shoes. I really should get another pair.
