Fuji XT3 16-55mm samples
I left behind Nikon Full frame cameras along with all my primes a few years ago and adopted the Fuji line.
Currently the XT3 with the 16-55 covers 80% of what I like to shoot, these two produce very good images. I don't miss the Nikon gear as I am very comfortable with the Fuji system. Late last year I added one more camera body, the Leica Q. This little guy us superb and it comes with me for those times that I just want to go "freestyle" and travel light. A few images shot with the Fuji.

Question for you. Currently I have:
Nikon D750 Body Nikon 24-120mm F4 Nikon 70-200mm F2.8 Nikon 50mm F1.8 Nikon SB70 Olympus OM-D EM10 Mark iii with 14-42 kit lens I recently bought the Olympus for a trip to London to see some footy as some Staduims such as Emirates do not allow a full DSLR in. I am loving the size and portability of the Olympus and am about to buy the 12-40mm F2.8 for it. So I have portability covered with the little Olympus. I love my Nikon setup but have been thinking of dumping everything Nikon and getting an XT4 with a couple of lenses. What do you miss about your Nikon. And considering I have the Olympus, is it a stupid idea dropping the fiull frame Nikon for anothe crop sensor? Thanks

Great shots.
Love the camera! Such a classic look to it and I dig the old school controls. Considering one myself but have a 6D I don't use enough already to justify getting yet another camera. |

I held on to this set up for 8 years before Fuji appeared on my radar. To be 100% honest, the build quality of the Nikon body and lenses is maybe, what I miss. But I don't miss the weight at all. For me it's been a journey of simplifying my gear and photo process. Now I only have the XT3 with two lenses, 16-55 (equivalent 34-70) and 50-140mm. Both are superb lenses and that's it, I don't need anything more based on what I shoot or how I shoot. I forced myself to master these two lenses and I've been having a blast while at it.. Lights is what I have recently invested with the addition of the Godox AD200 Pro system in my bag. Last edited by Andyh1; 04-03-2020 at 01:26 PM.. |
