There are moments in summer that I push it really hard .

The DCT software upgrade was a big improvement as well.Because I had the second gear lag .
My BMW/Dealer was not able to fix it , while they tried it 4 times . Mike said : Sure I can fix that and after the sofware upgrade my DCT shifted really smooth , but also a lot faster .
Honestly I would do it again in a heartbeat
Its interesting that you mention that the BMW dealership was not able to resolve the issue. I have a friend here that is a mechanic and a year or two ago, he went to get a certification to understand and work on some of the newer BMW engines. The class he went to take was run by non other than Steve Dinian. From what he was told, there is a shortage of master mechanics here in the US and the quality of the people going to get their certification leaves a lot to be desired. Its interesting to see that a similar issue is possibly affecting the European market.

All the more reason to go out and find those independent shops that know what they are doing, just like you did

Yeah . I saw it here on BP that my issue was very common with my DCT second gear lag.
And I saw it could be fixed by the DCT software upgrade . That was the main reason why I called Mike in LA .
One thing is for sure , Mike's knowledge is beyond our understanding .
He's a great guy and always very friendly and motivated , his customer service is outstanding . Actually he became a friend from me

As for BMW/Dealers in general : The run behind the facts ,it's like with the S65/85 engines and the ticking noises and bearing failures .
They said to me it's just normal . And they never heard about S65 bearing failures .
I said : Are you guys serious ? And I got far going discussions about the whole situation while I showed them the "Blown motors, Rod Bearing failure S65 Registry" thread.
It's for sure , they know about it . But they just deny ...

It's the same with Bm dealers here,I explained about having oil changes more frequently than the i drive was suggesting because of rod bearing wear and they also were also shrugging their shoulders pretending it's unusual or unknown.

Oh , I know my friend . Because the issue is global . I follow the issue already from 2012 and I have a database about the bearing failures.
If they would acknowledge and admit the problem . ""Hello BMW"" ? So , actually they have no choise .
Hypocritical they are for sure

I just watched in the SARS-CoV-2 update from today :
Italy + 712
Spain + 498
France + 365

I'm not depressed , but earlier today at work "given the facts" I was thinking maybe it's already too late for all of us

Can't wait to see that also, the last one with Craig then a woman takes over temporarily in the one after that.

Never say Never again and No time to Die both relate in name to the fight against this killer C 19 mist.

I read this earlier and had to read it twice. Sure that Marko is a level headed boss I'm sure he realises that ppl can die and this is not one of his best ideas, edit Christian's quizzical look at him.

Bro I don't know what to make of this. If it was F1planet I would've said it's fake news 🤔

I'm just putting it down to the fact that a billion dollar brain like Marko can fire off an assumption to see the reaction.

Horner defends Marko’s coronavirus comments

seems like Marko's comments made not recently (weird), before understanding the severity of the disease..
though for me it looks like a PR more likely..
