It happens to me too and I think there is a cohort out there who is just prejudiced to give your nice car no quarter. Much easier to drive like a dick when you decide the other guy must be an asshole to have that car and therefore you think you have carte blance to "retaliate" preemptively

Most of these studies provide marginal entertainment value at best with no practical advice.

Years ago, my driving instructor told me that he has 3 rules for safe driving:

- Zero alcohol
- Scan mirrors every 30 seconds; left, rear, right
- Find a pocket in traffic where your vehicle can be reasonable the only one; it's nearly impossible to have an accident when there is one around to collide with

Point 3 negates this study.
