I will definitely let everyone know. Still in research mode. Will pull the trigger at the end of the month during Atlanta Food & Wine Festival. BGE has a strong presence there each year and always offer killer deals on packages (EGGs + accessories).

Great time to scoop one. You will definitely save a few dollars. Just keep transportation in mind; these things are heavy and awkward to move.

I did not. Food and Wine came and went and the deals they were offering were awful compared to year’s passed. They were essentially offering $75 off and weren’t willing to deliver where I live. I still plan to pick one up this summer once I complete my backyard project. Will update once I grab one.

my $0.02. It came down to capacity for me. I occasionally cook for large (~200) groups and just needed something bigger. I have a Yoder YS640 pellet smoker. Even if I didn't cook for big groups, fitting 3 racks of ribs or even a decent size brisket is challenging on most ceramic grills. My father in law has a Primo XL which is oval shaped and ribs and brisket fit on his. I love my Yoder, set and forget, large capacity, but also is convenient for smaller cooks, plus the direct grill option is cool for searing. Had I gone the ceramic route, I probably would have done the Prime to fit the larger cuts.
I know your discussion has mainly been on ceramics, wanted to through pellet grills out there too.

Ok here's mine we just started building the out door island out of concrete stone. Counter top should be here next week. I went with Granite as that what I had at my old place.
Trenching the water and electric was a total pain in the as getting to the 18" deep mark.

The grill I'm using. It's a Bull. Nice and wide 42 incher. Should make 4 racks of ribs at the same time without breaking a sweat.

Atlanta Grill Company had a Father’s Day special. I picked up the Classic II for $799 (plus $99 to ship it via freight to Texas). No tax to boot!

I don't know if I should thank you or curse you bimmerfrk .
After seeing your great new set up I got the bright idea today that I needed something nicer than my Weber grill (I love my Weber, just for the record). I ended up dumping a ton of cash on a Capital Grill 52", warming drawer, pull out trash bin, Hestan fridge, some drawers and cabinets and picked out a nice slab of marble for the top. I know what I'll be building this weekend, it all got delivered this evening in the pouring rain. Most likely when it's done it'll be a sincere thank you.

I just have a cheap char-broil smoker but it does make some great burgers and steaks.
