Pretty cool browser-based editor

It's called Photopea.

Works pretty much like Photoshop. Handy when you don't have access to PS and need to do a quick edit. Free, too, if you don't mind ads on the side.

I was originally concerned that it would require uploading a file, in which case you'd lose control of it. But this appears to work entirely within the browser. You can open the site, then kill your wifi or internet connection, and still open, edit, and save a file. So it obviously does not upload files to some outside server.
