New Member Checking In

Hi all, new to the site and hoping to order a 2018 F80 via the US Diplo/Mil program in the UK soon. I'm about 95% on the car configuration, but after seeing the changes to the F92 pricing, I'm eagerly awaiting the 2018 F80 pricing, so I might make a few tweaks to the final build after putting my deposit down. Finances are in order and the spousal unit has given the thumbs up.

I started down this path originally wanting the M2, but (a) it's not offered through the program yet, and (b) I got drawn to the F8x after lots of reading/research in regards to the ZCP changes, larger size, and better amenities over the M2. I have a family of four, so the size, extra doors, and creature comforts are a big factor.

The only previous BMW I've owned is an e30 325i, which I loved but ended up selling before moving to the UK. I also have an S2000 in storage back in the States.

Just wanted to make an introduction and say thanks already for the great information on this site as I've been lurking around for a little while now.

Thanks. Thought I'd just post up the cars I mentioned in my original post. It was the last time I was able to photograph them together before selling off the e30.

Hehe, that's the "keeper"... bought it new long before we had our first kid. Bone stock AP2, less than 35K miles on it. I've never been compelled to change anything on it, except maybe swap out the wheels in the future to give it a refresh on looks. Although I suspect by the time we get back Stateside, I'll probably want her to have a bit more go...

I regret not bringing it out to the UK.
