congrats.... but one part i didn't understand is struggling between a more practical 4 doors 5 seats f80 m3 and 2 doors 4 seats f82 m4 then buying a 2 doors 2 seats car

I didn't either. And then I sat in and revved the GT4. Had to have it.

Great backstory! There's a sick yellow GT4 I see around locally and its amazing. Don't think ill be able to get a GT4 in the future due to price and availability but the new 718 Cayman S really caught my eye

The new 718 looks great, but all of the reviews (see YouTube) are a bit mediocre.

Went out for a nice fall drive the other day.

First shot was taken with my iPhone 7, the others with my D750. Excuse the stickers on my windshield – they’re from two different track days.

Thanks for sharing your journey, I enjoyed the write up. I too have had ups and downs in my vehicle ownership journey, but the hardships only makes owning something nice that much more rewarding. I have always liked the GT4, and I'm sure you do not need me to tell you to drive it and enjoy that car to the fullest. Congrats man.

I'm also in Canada and took a serious look at the GT4.

The asking prices were so far over list it made no sense at all. One local car had an asking price of $146K

Ended up buying a low mileage Z4MC instead.

Thanks – it's called "Agate Grey". I thought about considering it for a BMW Individual order on an F80 M3, but nobody's done it before (to my knowledge), so it'd probably be pretty pricey.
