Leicester???

So are we all resigned that Leicester is actually going to win this thing!?!?!?! I'm a diehard Arsenal fan and really thought this was going to be our year up until a month ago. (Yes I know shouldn't have gotten my hopes up again)

Kept saying Leicester will blow it, but it would take a monumental collapse at this point (Arsenal are good at those!)

Sorry to hear you're an Arsenal fan. I will save my rant about Wenger. But, it is sad that in a season where Chelsea have imploded, City have gotten old, Manure sucks, and Liverpool are rebuilding; this was the season for Arsenal to win. That being said, LC completely deserve to win the league. They have been the most consistent squad and they are so much fun to watch. They play as a team and they never give up on any game. Regardless, if they are down by 2 or up by 2.

The whole Vardy story is amazing. Playing non-league football just 4 years ago and now he's one of the best strikers in the EPL. It also not just the goals. If you watch him play, he just keeps aggravating defenders, continues great hold up play, and is a great passer.

I'm totally rooting for these guys which will be the biggest story in English football history. Even when Blackburn won, they spent a lot of money on that squad. These are journeymen who couldn't even get into the starting lineup on other clubs. Awesome story.

Underdogs always pull at the heartstrings when they get close to wining a title.

On this side, starting to see all the old stars show up in the MSL

I'm DC United season ticket holder. I don't like the trend in MLS where they are paying these older players all this money. There's a rumor that Ronaldinho wants to come to MLS! We really don't need him or someone like him. We need to keep attracting players like Giovinco who is in the prime of their career. The league is still so young and we've made some good progress. But, bringing in old players in their retirement years is a step backwards.

He and Gabriel have a reputation as hot heads and players know it and go after them.

Omg tell me about it. I knew then we were done. It's incredibly frustrating being an Arsenal fan and I agree if they were going to do it it was this year. But all credit to Leicester they've been amazing and deserve the title. I love seeing an underdog knock off the big boys and Vardy is a story you just have to love(I played college soccer and I'd take a team full of Vardy's over a team of arrogant superstars anyday you can't teach heart). That being said I'm going to have to get home quick so I can watch the USMNT (hopefully not implode) against Guatemala.

Congrats to Leicester! 5000-1. I don't think we'll ever see something like this again in football. Also, congrats to Arse fans. Your top 4 trophy is being engraved and will be sent to Wenger very soon.

All indications are LvG staying with Mourinho already peddling himself to PSG. Without CL football, it will be very difficult to attract quality players without paying over the top save for geriatrics looking for a nursing home like Ibra.

I feel sorry for Manure fans if their management is stupid enough to keep LvG. Only 2nd time that they've missed out on the CL's. And the manager was sacked after the first time.

Moyes was sacked before the season was out.

LvG has gone and the writings were on the wall. £250m spent and they have played the worst football in their history. Mourinho coming in, poor choice. He sticks around for a few seasons before pissing everyone off and moving on. That's not the structure United should he looking for, but then I'm a Liverpool supporter so what do I give a shit.

Agreed. But, I've told my United friends, who cares if he's only there for a few years if he can win you trophies? Football is so completely different now because of the foreign owners and all the money. Can't win within 2 seasons, you're sacked. Look at what Watford did to Flores. They played some excited football this season, just lacked some key players to finish higher. I don't agree with it, but there's no loyalty to players or coaches anymore. That's why the players don't have any either.

I agree with your sentiment but Mourinho is not a United manager, most Utd fans are unhappy with his appointment. He has a 3yr shelf life before fall outs with players etc means he leaves in controversy. Tactically he is a master of finding a goal and then parking the bus rather than all out attack, as was the theme under Ferguson.
Would you rather win trophies and not be very exciting to watch, play mundane football or would you rather play wonderful football, a joy to watch but not win anything... that's the conundrum because for yrs Utd did both.
Teams like Utd and Arsenal follow a different structure to other teams where 1 man has controlled top to bottom. That's why they will struggle the most to replace their managers.

Watfords main aim was to avoid relegation. But, just like Swansea last season, they had a few good performances and all of a sudden expectations shot through the roof, reality was lost. They did superb because of Flores who is a very manager, his replacement I think will make them favourites fo the drop next season.

Athleti. They learned a lot from 2 years ago and they are a better team now. Simeone knows how to beat RM and Barca. 1-0 Athletico.
