Star Wars Battlefront - And Bonus?!

so i pre-ordered star wars battlefront deluxe and i get a message from xbox today:

"thank you for your purchase... included in your purchase is a copy of Peggle 2"

i'm like "wtf is peggle 2?!" because battlefront is like killing all of the things.

That means, if you are not l33t enough to battle the empire - and thats maybe caused by buggy game coding (haha) - you could try to beat some peggle dots, but not with a laser gun

Honestly Peggle is amazing, I don't know how something so simple can be so addicting.

I got it as bonus within my Steam acc as I bought "Portal2" longer time ago. Looking really fwd to S/W, not on console, but on PC. I wish they would stop featuring the consoles and concentrate back on PC-gamers but this would be a silent wish, caused by millions of dollars made with several game systems coded games.

Same here, will be going PC for this one. But like all thing BF from DICE, it might be 6 months before everything is working properly. I tried getting in on the beta, that was a joke!

Beta was not so bad as expected, but the damn cheaters are already on the scene. The super chars are needing immediately a downgrade balancing. Met Vader on Hothmap as I sat into a stationary blaster cannon. Although I had blasted him as hell he jumps at least up to my turret and ripped me to shreds with the lightsaber. He missed not more than 20% live...thats pretty unfair

The beta of this game really put my off. I'm a huge SW fan and I was so looking forward to the game. Not so sure now!

As Dang said, it appears to me as though there were quite a lot of players who seemed to have an "advantage" and the game play didn't seem that interesting.

it's much harder to mess with the code. it still happens but much less.

most ppl can't handle the controllers though so it takes a while to become a true bf boss.

Gaming only on PC, never ever console. But Im affraid that into the future most games are more optimized for them, caused by better hardware adaption and ressource management. Bad enough...

I'm on PS4 and I agree with HFW003. The beta wasn't exactly awe-inspiring, and there were absolutely cheating players in the multiplayer maps.

i had early access with EA which was a rip-off. they're like "get early access! it'll be everything you ever dreamed of!" then they limit us to 10 hours of play time.

luckily we received the full version today in the states and i will be smashing people tonight.

So what's the consensus on this? I cancelled my pre-order after the lackluster beta and finding out there wasn't a campaign mode. Anyone want to try to convince me to buy it?

i think it's just okay so far. seems like a bunch of people that refuse to play the objective and would rather just stand around trying to kill each other.

i like battlefield because of strategy and objectives. if you like COD then maybe you'll like this.

i still play it but i'm not 100% sold. i'm hoping i grow to like it over time. i still find myself playing it a few hours every day.

Got my first fight yesterday afternoon, a lot of guys already reached ranks beyond 20, well, those dudes obviously havent a real life
The weapons, especially Han Solos Blaster is absolutely overpowered, are very lowered from the beta and I dare to mention this, there must be some cheaters out there! The game is just a few hours old and some high skillers are delivering sudden death with any blaster with one shot-one kill.
The killing rate really differs from the count of headshots, dont try to kill some other players by hitting just the torso, your needed time for that is much too long.
The heavy blasters are spraying around much too much and on longer distances you wouldnt be able to reach a critical hit - if youre playing for real and w/o cheats or skill cookies
Graphics are pretty well and better as into beta, I found it hard to detect the right player settings for my char and more the vehicles, playing battlefront and -field now since BF2 and Battlefront 1 but for me its more than annoying, that this game seems to be coded for damn consoles in first way and for PC's on the other.
A season pass would coming up, should cost into Europe 50,- Euros and contains more maps and action, similar like they did it into BF3 and BF4.
I miss a singleplayer campaign also, the tuts and the offered missions are not half enough to get more familar with all possible actions and so you have to learn that onto the battlefield.
If you have the nerves and the intention to spend your time with the game into MP, just go ahead, for the price I found it worth it. But be prepared for some backlashes brought by coding and I assume, the next patch is already at the start and is - as usual at DICE' - half the big as the whole game
