Hello BP,

So i've come to the Darkside and purchased my first BMW (and German car), although i came close to purchasing an 09 Audi S8... another story for another time.

A good friend of mine seems to be very active here and suggested i join, hes my resident subject matter expert on German cars. I don't know his screen name here, but im sure he will chime it at some point.

As my name suggest i've primarily driven Japanese cars, so after having the wagon for 4 days, i'm coming to enjoy German cars. Initially (4 days ago) it was just to have extra space for hiking, the dogs. After chatting with my aforementioned friend, i completed my initial parts list for my E61 build.. yea 4 days.

Welcome! That's a nice mod list. Just curious in why you chose the AA intercooler over others. Cool dogs too.

Actually I didn't pick many items on the list, told my buddy what my goals are and he provided the list.

Gotcha. Just an FYI, the AFE Intake and BMS DCI (dual cone intakes) are the same thing. I would go with the BMS since they it's like $250 cheaper. Good luck!

Nice! I love that white! Gonna be one sick wagon. Looking forward to the updates, especially the cic retro fit. I'd love to take the plunge, there's plenty of forum chatter about it, but will probably be a while for me on that one.

You should also check out SAT (sports automatic transmission) retrofit. With just sw update you can have the tranny and steering features of the upgraded sports models, (those with sport button and paddle shifters). Or can go all out and add paddles and sport button as well.

Thanks for all the wagon love, unfortunately I've only clocked about 600 miles since I bought it, but enjoying it every chance I can.

Took her to get tinted last week, went 50% on the front and 18% ceramic all the way around. Very pleased with the results. Phase 1 of the mods should start soon and I'll become far more active.
