hardtop convertible

I did a search and did not find the info I was looking for. Can anyone tell me what years the hardtop convertible option was available for?
Does it increase weight? compromise chasis rigidity?
Any personal owner feedback?

Produced in 2008 a little after the coupe.
Weight increased by roughly 400lbs over the coupe and rigidity is compromised - but I couldn't tell you by how much.

As well no room at all in the trunk with the hard top down. BMW's crazy idea.

Yes to all your questions. The trunk is small but I can still fit my small suitcase and backpack in the trunk even with the top down.
