Dropped tip of screwdriver into dashboard vent while trying to change speaker, help

So I was trying to replace the little speaker on top of the dashboard console (it blew out on my e90 sedan), the screwdriver was too long so I just tried to use the tip of it to unscrew the 3 screws.. anyways.. I ended up dropping the tip of the screwdriver into the air duct.. now its down there.. Can it do any damage? How do I get it out?

small magnet on a string? But if it's not making any noise, I wouldn't worry about it.

Just pop the trim surrounding the air vent out. It should just pry right off.

The vent will come off with it. You should then be able to get your hand in and get the bit out.

Get a mechanic's magnetic pickup tool. It's a magnet on a stiff flexible wire.

I dropped a small piece of plastic once - hasn't caused any problems yet and its been a couple of years.
