M3/M4 Akrapovic exhaust
Did anyone notice that Akrapovič's website already lists the M3 and M4 exhaust category? I wonder when the products will be available

Akropovic aftermarket timing
Seems to usually take about a year after model release for most aftermarket manufacturers, but it they produced the OEM exhaust they would have a jump on things.

The MotoGP cars have a BMW Performance exhaust installed, and I suspect it is a Akrapovic exhaust, with M logos, and a retail price north of $9,000.00, I'm sure they will be discounted by dealers and perhaps less expensive when available from Akarpovic, minus the M logos, but still expensive, Fran

The pricey version will most likely be the Evo unit in Titanium, they often offer a Stainless version, which will be heavier, but less expensive, but still pricey. Fran

Either way, I wouldn't pay more than 2-3k for exhaust. |

I have heard it on M6 and wasnt that impressed at all. Its expensive bc its backed by BMW...They want you to use BMW M Performance products or they claim could be warranty issues. For the M6 at least the RPI GTM exhuast makes 30hp documented and sounds a lot better than Akro and price is like 3400....And thats for M6, bet M3/M4 will be cheaper

I thought with turbo cars the more free flowing the exhaust the more power? With N/A there is back pressure and other aspects to consider.

For some reason, the BMW crowd has gone Akra crazy the past few years. I don't get it, personally. I find the model on the 1M to sound like absolute crap, while other models do sound good.
But that's it: They sound GOOD. They are GOOD quality. etc. Let me put this another way: Lower volume italian Tubi exhaust systems cost less and are usually incredibly high quality and sound absolutely glorious in every case I've seen them (i had a tubi rumore exhaust on my s62). So why so obsessed with Akra? |
