Wireless Remote

Looking for a basic Wireless shutter remote. Any suggestions?

I have read goog things about the the Pixel TW-282, but i amy not necessarily need that much functionality.

I shoot a Nikon D7000, so I will need to confirm it works for my camera.

I use yongnuo 603 triggers. They work pretty well. I was using the remote one attached to the flash, so I could be the human lightstand as well and trigger the camera at the same time.

When I get off work I'll check what I have. My father bought it for me years ago, and its a pretty basic and cheap radio trigger. Are you looking for anything fancy like a timer remote? Also what kind of range are you looking for?

Thanks for the responses.

I want a range of more than 100 ft which is why IR is out of the question (as well as it has issues with location and sunlight). The range is important as I tend to go skiing in Colorado and put my camera outside while I am inside and take pictures of the night sky. I also have to be able to utilize the bulb feature.

It claims on the box of a range up to 100m, but honestly I'm lucky to get 50ft outside. My father has one for his Nikon that he uses inside the house to take pictures of birds on feeders without spooking them.

The one you listed looks good and 2.4GHz should do the trick for range.

Something else you might want to look into is a timer remote. The one I have for my canon has settings for a delay before it starts taking photos, delay between photos, shutter speed, and number of photos to take. Great tools for night time long exposures and lightning photography.

I use their wired TR-90 intervalometer on my D610 and it's been great (time lapses, group photos, manual trigger release, etc.), so maybe the wireless is good too.

Just double check the cables to make sure whatever you get is compatible. There are different remote connectors with Nikon and they look almost identical.

granted you might have to use 2 mobile devices to trigger but it does have some extra cool features.

Looks cool! My only concern would be battery life.
